In 2022, Starbeam Capital was established with the purpose of facilitating the transformation of world-class deep tech and climate tech research and innovation from all corners of the UK into viable commercial opportunities.

Having personally encountered the challenges faced by research spin-offs in accessing investment and broader support, our aim is to guarantee the successful commercialization of the most promising Deep Tech and Climate Tech breakthroughs, regardless of their origin.

Strategy
Our typical investment focus spans from the earliest stages of a company's development, starting from Pre-seed and extending through to Series A funding rounds. It's during these initial stages that the potential for value creation is most pronounced.

Our first fund operates as a dual fund model, executing a shared strategy but offering investors the flexibility to participate in either EIS or LP/GP structures according to their needs. The fund will fuel our continued focus on early Pre-seed and Seed-level companies with the option to make Series A investments for the strongest companies.
